Experienced Registered Nurse - Aged Care, 5 nights We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our close-knit team at Elmswood Village , working in our 25-bed Care Suite. This is a permanent night-shift position working Sunday to Thursday, 10.45pm – 7.00am . You will be well supported by our Village Manager, Clinical Manager and wider management team, with an on-call Senior RN available to provide clinical support throughout the shift . Elmswood Village is an innovative, privately owned retirement village and care facility that is highly regarded within the aged care sector. Key Responsibilities Complete ongoing assessments of residents' care needs and goals, and implement, monitor and review individualised care plans at appropriate intervals. Undertake clinical nursing procedures and skills competently, safely and in accordance with best practice. Maintain medication competency and comply with all legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements. Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, healthcare professionals and other members of the care team. Supervise and support care staff to ensure safe nursing practice and the delivery of high-quality, individualised care. Demonstrate strong organisational and clinical skills and provide leadership during the night shift. Apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understand their relevance to the health and wellbeing of Māori. Maintain a strong understanding of infection prevention and control practices and act as a positive role model for IPC. Support and comply with Elmswood's Health & Safety policies and procedures. Experience with VCare, 1Chart and InterRAI is preferred. About You Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand Nursing Council Annual Practising Certificate . Minimum of 3 years' experience in the aged care sector . Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work confidently and independently during night shifts while knowing when to seek support. Strong leadership skills and the ability to support and guide care staff. InterRAI competency is preferred. A genuine commitment to providing compassionate, respectful and person-centred care.
