Are you a seasoned hospitality professional who thrives in the fast-paced, exciting world of live events? We are seeking experienced Event Duty Managers to oversee operations, lead front-of-house teams, and deliver exceptional experiences across our upcoming calendar of premium events. The Role As an Event Duty Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for the sale and supply of alcohol, ensuring seamless bar operations and strict compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. You will manage floor and bar staff, and serve as the main point of contact to ensure a safe, vibrant atmosphere for all guests. Core Responsibilities Compliance: Maintain total oversight of the alcohol licence conditions, prominence of duty manager signage, and strict adherence to Host Responsibility principles (preventing intoxication, managing minors, and coordinating food/transport). Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and direct bar staff, floor servers, and security teams during high-volume event shifts. Crowd & Safety Management: Monitor crowd safety, track capacity limits, and manage emergency protocols or fire evacuation schemes if necessary. Strict Candidate Requirements Certification: You must hold a current, valid General Manager's Certificate and an up-to-date Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ). Candidates without a current certificate will not be considered. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience actively managing high-volume bars, festivals, weddings, or corporate functions. Skills: Exceptional communication, rapid problem-solving abilities, and a calm demeanour when working under intense event-day pressure.
