We are seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Driver to join our busy team in Otago. This role involves managing goods movement, loading and unloading freight, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations. Working alongside our logistics and site team, you will ensure materials are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently across the facility. This role involves managing goods movement, loading and unloading freight, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations. Working alongside our logistics and site team, you will ensure materials are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently across the facility. What You'll Be Doing Safely operating counter-balance and/or reach forklifts to move stock and materials Loading and unloading delivery trucks, containers, and site transport vehicles Stacking, storing, and organizing inventory in designated warehouse or yard areas Performing inbound and outbound stock checks, verifying quantities against dockets Inspecting machinery daily and completing basic maintenance and safety checklists Assisting with general warehouse duties, manual handling, and site cleanup as required Strict adherence to site traffic management plans and health and safety guidelines Collaborating with site managers, dispatch teams, and drivers to maintain workflow What We're Looking For Minimum 1yearof proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment Current and valid Forklift License (OSH Certificate / F Endorsement) Demonstrated commitment to working safely around heavy machinery and pedestrians High level of reliability, punctuality, and strong physical fitness Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a busy team High attention to detail with basic literacy and numeracy skills for stock tracking A valid driver's license and reliable transport to get to site Benefits Immediate start available Weekly pay Competitive hourly rate ($27-29 per hour depending on experience and endorsements) Ongoing work with stable hours and overtime opportunities Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunities for further site training and skill development About Us Blokhaus Recruitment approaches work from a tradesman's point of view - we don't operate like a typical recruiter.
