RED PEPPER HOLDINGS LIMITED – Far North District, North Island Red Pepper Limited T/A Pizza Hut is looking for a Bookkeeper to work full-time across both franchises. The role involves managing bookkeeping, payroll and financial records while working closely with the business owner and external accountant. Bookeeper is expected to work a minimum of 30-35 hours a week with a weekly payroll. Hours are rostered on a weekly basis and might include weekend shifts. Job Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers for both Pizza Hut stores using computerised accounting systems. Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, supplier payments, expenses, cash deposits and other financial transactions. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, POS sales, cash deposits, online delivery-platform settlements and franchise statements. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, preparing purchase orders, scheduling approved payments and following up outstanding accounts. Process payroll based on approved rosters and timesheets, including wages, leave, public holidays, deductions, PAYE and KiwiSaver information. Maintain complete and confidential employee payroll and leave records and resolve payroll discrepancies. Monitor cash flow, upcoming liabilities and expenditure and report any concerns to the business owner. Prepare regular profit and loss summaries, budget reports, expenditure reports and store-level financial comparisons. Reconcile franchise royalties, marketing levies, supplier rebates and other charges relating to both Pizza Hut stores. Verify financial transactions, investigate discrepancies and report irregularities to management. Prepare GST, PAYE, payroll and year-end supporting schedules and provide accurate records to the external accountant. Liaise with the external accountant and respond to requests for financial, payroll and supporting documentation. Maintain organised financial records and assist with improving bookkeeping procedures and internal financial controls. Job Requirements: Applicants must have either a relevant NZQF Level 4 or higher qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or Business Administration with an accounting component, or at least three years of relevant bookkeeping or accounts administration experience. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain confidential financial and employee information. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet payroll, supplier-payment and reporting deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
