Scholarship and Paid Internship Programme: Project Management and Property Scholarship and Paid Internship Programme: Project Management and Property Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust has entered a new chapter. Our Treaty settlement took effect on 4 March 2026, the same date our tūpuna signed Te Tiriti at Karaka Bay in 1840, marking our transition from grievance to regeneration, and from redress to rebuilding our collective future. We are offering a scholarship and a paid internship opportunity in 2027 for an aspiring Project Management or Property Professional to gain a qualification and contribute directly to the future of Ngāti Pāoa. Why this mahi matters Our long-term strategy, Te Huanui Taurikura, commits us to ensuring Ngāti Pāoa have access to a broad spectrum of education opportunities through scholarships and partnerships. This earn and learn scholarship, supported by Tāmaki Regeneration Company and Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust, combines tertiary study, practical work experience, mentoring, and financial support. This opportunity enables one successful applicant to develop their skills while working on meaningful Ngāti Pāoa development projects. What the scholarship Includes: Full payment of approved tuition fees (study options below) Part‑time paid employment (14–20 hours per week) Flexible work arrangements to support study commitments One‑on‑one mentoring from experienced industry professionals Hands‑on experience working on Ngāti Pāoa projects and developments Potential pathway to permanent employment upon graduation Who Can Apply? Applicants must: Be committed to undertaking a 3–4 year part‑time qualification while working part‑time for Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust Have a genuine interest in project management, property, construction, infrastructure, or related fields Be motivated to contribute to the future growth and development of Ngāti Pāoa About the role: Mō te tūranga The successful applicant will gain practical experience contributing to significant Ngāti Pāoa projects, including: Infrastructure projects Marae redevelopment and new‑build initiatives Property and asset development projects This is an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while helping shape developments that will benefit current and future generations of Ngāti Pāoa.
