Residential Support Worker

As a Support Worker, you’ll be part of our community residential service supporting tāngata whaiora with complex and high support needs. No two days are the same, you’ll build meaningful relationships, celebrate progress, and help people achieve their goals. You’ll work alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team, including Clinical, Residential, Educational, and Administrative partners, who are all committed to supporting positive outcomes for our people. We’ll support your growth too, providing: Comprehensive training to build your skills and confidence Regular supervision and individual and group debriefing Opportunities for ongoing learning and development We currently have: 1 Permanent Full-Time position — working rostered shifts across our 24/7 service 1 Casual opportunity — offering flexibility to fit your lifestyle If you have life experience, patience, empathy, and wisdom to share with the ability to do so in a way that engages Tangata Whaiora. You’ll be the type of person that can instantly build rapport with people who have experienced trauma and you can redirect unhelpful behaviour. Additionally, you’ll have plenty of resilience and you don't take things personally. Your initiative and proactive approach will be highly valued in your day-to-day work. You’ll also need: A full, clean, valid driver's license A Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 or working towards. Must hold and maintain First Aid certification including CPR (or be willing and able to complete this). Sound judgement with the skills to manage risk and make tough decisions Meet our vetting requirements Eligibility to work in New Zealand Additionally, an understanding and confidence in tikanga Māori and te reo Māori would be advantageous.
