Feedlot Operations Supervisor

Five Star Beef, part of ANZCO Foods, operates New Zealand's only large-scale commercial cattle feedlot. We're looking for a motivated, hands-on individual who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, leading people, and being part of a high-performing team. This is an opportunity to grow your leadership capabilities and learn from your manager for the benefit of succession planning. Whether you're currently working in farming, irrigation, livestock, machinery operation, maintenance, or agricultural services, we'll provide the training, support, and experience to help you grow. Duties and responsibilities will include: Supporting cattle welfare and animal handling activities Managing pen conditions and environmental systems Operating, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment Working with pumps, generators, waste management systems, and infrastructure Coordinating and supervising contractors Supporting health, safety, and environmental compliance Learning the operational and leadership skills needed to progress your career Skills and experience we are looking for: Enjoy practical, hands-on work Have mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving skills Take pride in maintaining high standards Communicate well and work effectively with others Have experience working in agriculture, livestock, irrigation, maintenance, construction, or a similar industry Want to develop your leadership skills and take on greater responsibility Hold a Class 1 licence and preferably a Class 4 licence (or are willing to obtain one).
