In your Heavy Diesel Technician role, you will be expected to inspect, maintain and repair diesel engines, with the ability to use diagnostic computer software to aid you in servicing these engines. All while working alongside a fantastic group of diesel technicians/mechanics to ensure the best end results. Responsibilities in your new role will include: Making various adjustments, alignments and repairs to correct any vehicle deficiencies Conduct inspections, test drives and diagnostic tests to determine the condition of the vehicles Record services and repairs to maintain accurate vehicle records Complete preventative maintenance and install part upgrades on vehicles Follow operating instruction, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, perform preventative maintenance and call for repairs to keep shop equipment operational Collaborate with coworkers to get repairs done in a timely manner THE GOODS: Permanent, full time role with job security Generous remuneration package on offer Great team who work hard while having on-site banter Career development - grow with the branch and business! Incredible knowledge and support from the top YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Hold a Heavy Diesel or Automotive Qualification with 3 years of relevant experience OR 5 years Heavy Diesel experience unqualified Strong mechanical capability and technical skills, including diagnosing faults and servicing transport equipment Ability to provide efficient, high-quality service to customers Confident computer literacy Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and outcomes Dedication to continuous improvement in Health & Safety and workplace culture Class 2 License (minimum) Ability to collaborate with and mentor fellow technicians ABOUT US: We are Roading and Building (RB) Recruitment, a team of recruitment experts specialising in Civil, Construction and Manufacturing.
