We are seeking a Tongan speaking customer-focused telephonist/ receptionistto join a busy healthcare and community services organisation based in Onehunga, Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and is confident managing a high volume of incoming calls in a fast-paced environment. About the Role As the first point of contact, you will provide professional telephone support to clients, patients, and community members, while assisting the wider administration team with day-to-day coordination tasks. This role is initially offered as a 3-month ongoing assignment , with the potential for extension in 6-month increments, depending on operational requirements and performance. This riole will be workign between 3 clinics - Ōtāhuhu,Onehunga andPanmure. Thesuccessful candidate will also be required to work at their Saturday clinic once a month. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming calls in a professional and timely manner Book and confirm appointments Transfer calls and take accurate messages Respond to general enquiries with care and accuracy Maintain accurate data entry and records Provide general administrative support to the wider team About You Previous experience in reception, administration, contact centre, or customer service roles Fluency speaking Tongan is required Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills Good computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly Strong organisational skills and attention to detail A calm, respectful, and professional approach when interacting with others Ability to work independently and as part of a team Applicants must have full legal rights to work in New Zealand.
