Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. 32–40 hours per week | Authentically U Palmerton North A clinical role where your experience matters Authentically U is looking for an experienced Mental Health Clinician – Trauma & Complex Presentations to join our clinical team. We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience working with trauma, relationship focused work, complex mental health presentations and higher levels of clinical risk . You will work with tamariki, rāngatahi and adults , so experience adapting your clinical approach across different ages and developmental stages is essential. About the role You will provide assessment, therapeutic intervention and ongoing clinical support to clients with complex needs, including: Trauma and complex trauma Suicide risk and self-harm Complex and high-risk presentations Relationship focused work Mental health and wellbeing challenges across different stages of life You will be responsible for comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, evidence-based and trauma-informed therapy, ongoing risk assessment and safety planning, clinical documentation and collaboration with the Clinical Manager, and other professionals. You will also work appropriately with whānau, caregivers and other significant people involved in the care of tamariki and rangatahi. About you You will bring: A relevant professional clinical qualification and current registration/practicing certification where applicable Demonstrated post-qualification mental health clinical experience Demonstrated experience working with trauma and complex presentations Demonstrated experience working with tamariki and rangatahi Demonstrated experience with relationship focused work Experience assessing and managing high-risk presentations , including suicide risk and self-harm Strong skills in risk assessment, safety planning and clinical escalation A sound understanding of trauma-informed practice The ability to recognise your scope of practice and seek appropriate supervision and consultation Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills A commitment to ethical, client-centered and culturally responsive practice Training or experience in trauma-focused approaches, couples/relationship work, complex trauma, child and adolescent practice or high-risk presentations will be highly regarded.
