About the Role You will be responsible for payroll processing and providing expert payroll support across the organisation. You will work closely with HR, Finance, and people leaders to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies. Key responsibilities include: Payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll cycles Managing payroll queries and providing advice to employees and managers Ensuring compliance with New Zealand employment and payroll legislation Maintaining employee payroll records and system data integrity Processing leave, deductions, allowances, and payroll adjustments Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements Identifying and implementing payroll process improvements Assisting with payroll-related projects and system enhancements About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Previous payroll experience, ideally in a medium to large organisation Strong understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation and compliance requirements Experience using payroll systems and HRIS platforms Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate payroll issues Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A proactive approach and a continuous improvement mindset The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Benefits Flexible and hybrid working arrangements Supportive and inclusive team culture Lower Hutt-based office, ideal for those who want to avoid travel into the CBD!
