About the Role We are seeking Registered Nurses| Tapuhi Whai Rēhitatanga to join our progressive recovery focused teams in our brand new state of the art acute adult mental health facility. There are also limited roles available in our forensic wards which will continue to be located in HRBC. Maaori are significantly represented across our services, which is why we are moving towards becoming a culturally led, clinically underpinned service. Delivering excellent care in a culturally responsive manner, to support the best outcomes for Maaori is fundamental to our mahi. Responsibilities of the role: Assess, maintain and manage clinical risk. Build relationships with taangata whaiora , whaanau and support agencies. Conduct thorough assessments of tāngata whaiora health status and develop appropriate care plans in partnership with them. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for taangata whaiora. Commit to the MDT approach with a focus on excellent service delivery. Whilst this investment introduces a contemporary purpose-built facility, its true significance lies in the opportunity to redefine how care is experienced by taangata whaiora, their whaanau and loved ones. Both units have their own multidisciplinary team which include nurses, mental health assistants, doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, Takawaenga, and activities facilitators. Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand and current APC. Experience working in New Zealand in a mental health environment. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
