About the Role Join the Bay of Plenty Addiction Service (BOPAS) and play a key role in supporting whai ora through community-based substance withdrawal management. You will assess individuals with substance use disorders, develop withdrawal treatment plans, and coordinate care across a variety of settings including homes, respite facilities, and inpatient services. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team and community partners, you will support safe withdrawal, provide clinical advice, and contribute to education initiatives that strengthen addiction services across the region. About the Team/Service/Location BOPAS is the specialist adult addiction service for the Bay of Plenty, providing assessment, treatment, and recovery focused support for people experiencing substance use disorders. The team works closely with community mental health services, NGO addiction providers, inpatient services, and primary care to deliver integrated and person-centred care. As part of the wider Adult Community Mental Health and Addiction Service, you will join a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team committed to achieving positive outcomes for whai ora and their whānau. You thrive in a role that combines clinical assessment, care coordination, education, collaboration, and you are confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You bring strong organisational skills, sound clinical judgement, and a commitment to supporting recovery through evidence-based and culturally responsive practice.
