Come join us, one of the busiest and most well established Restaurants in Taupo. The role works closely with the FOH & kitchen to ensure that menus and food quality support service delivery. We are looking for someone who has the professionalism and confidence necessary to represent the company at a management level with our customers when necessary. Minimum 32 hours per week. In this role you will require a high degree of empathy, maturity and diplomacy to ensure customer issues are resolved amicably and the customer is left satisfied with how they were dealt with and the outcome. Key responsibilities Develop an maintain a professional and cooperative relationship with kitchen and liquor dispensing staff to ensure the overall businss operates smoothly under guidance from the General Manager Look for opportunities to improve procedures, and make improvements where appropriate in liason with the General Manager Ensure staff are trained in the correct procedure for taking reservations Ensure restaurant sraff can confidently describe the wine list and menu items, and can make recommendations when asked to do so Ensure that all restaurant staff are aware of their obligations pursuant to the Sale and Supply of Alchohol Act 2012 and the company's liquor licence is not jeopardised as a direct consequence of their actions. This includes patron conduct and intoxication Complete restaurant seating plan for the following day Complete cashup, and note any differences between reported and actual totals Complete such other duties as the General Manager or nominee may require to assist with the smooth operation of the business Requirements A current Duty Managers licence Ability to lead from the front, inspire other staff and walk the talk Good Communication skills & good command of the English Language. Work closely with the kitchen to ensure that menus and food quality support service delivery. Self Motivation A passion for hospitality to achieve a high sense of customer satisfaction Previous experience in staff development. At least 3 years proven experience in the industry.
