Employer: Bazaar Limited Trading As: VIP's MiniMart Location: 123–125 King Street, Temuka 7920, New Zealand Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Positions Available: 2 Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 32 hours per week Pay Rate: NZD $27.00–$30.00 per hour (depending on skills and experience) About Us Bazaar Limited, trading as VIP's MiniMart, operates a busy takeaway food outlet alongside its convenience store and online ordering service in Temuka. We pride ourselves on providing freshly prepared, high-quality food and excellent customer service. Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, we are seeking two experienced Fast Food Cooks to join our kitchen team. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook burgers, fried chicken, chips, wraps and other takeaway menu items to company recipes and quality standards. Prepare food ingredients, including washing, cutting, measuring and portioning. Operate commercial kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, ovens and microwaves safely and efficiently. Ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and within required service times. Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control. Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with the Food Act 2014 and company procedures. Store food correctly and rotate stock using FIFO principles. Assist with stock control, ordering and receiving food supplies. Clean kitchen equipment, utensils and food preparation areas. Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality standards. Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times. Carry out other reasonable kitchen duties as directed by the Kitchen Manager or Store Manager. Skills & Experience Applicants should have: At least 2 years' relevant cooking experience, or A relevant qualification in Cookery, management or Hospitality. The successful applicants will also demonstrate: Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. Knowledge of food preparation and food safety practices. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality. Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.
