Participation Advisor - Equity and Inclusion At Sport Manawatū, we're passionate about getting Everyone Active - Kia Mātātoa Tātou. We're looking for a Participation Advisor – Equity and Inclusion who is passionate about helping more people feel welcome, included, and able to take part. This is a relationship-focused role that works across Sport Manawatū and with community partners to remove barriers to participation, strengthen inclusive practice, and help turn inclusion ideas into practical action. We’re looking for someone who: Builds trusted, collaborative relationships with priority communities, partners and social networks. Experience working alongside one or more of the following communities: former refugee, disability, Māori, Pasifika and/or women and girls. Can support staff and partners to apply equity, inclusion, accessibility, and disability inclusion in practical ways. Can help embed equity and inclusivity across systems, policies, contracts, communications, and workplans so it is visible and measurable. Uses insights, evidence, lived experience, and community voice to guide action, track progress, and share impact. Has experience in community development, health, education, youth development, sport, active recreation, disability, accessibility, inclusion, or social services. Understand barriers that can stop people from taking part and is motivated to create more equitable opportunities. Can work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team environment. Is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and respectful, community-led ways of working.
