We’re recruiting on behalf of a long-established New Zealand construction business with a strong presence throughout the South Island and a proven history of delivering commercial, industrial and agricultural building projects. They’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their Invercargill team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects throughout Southland. This is an opportunity for an experienced construction professional who enjoys being hands-on, understands how to run a busy site and has the confidence to coordinate trades, subcontractors and suppliers while keeping a project moving. Site Manager – Invercargill Location: Invercargill & Southland Employment: Full-time, permanent Industry: Commercial / Industrial Construction We’re recruiting on behalf of a long-established New Zealand construction business with a strong presence throughout the South Island and a proven history of delivering commercial, industrial and agricultural building projects. They’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their Invercargill team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects throughout Southland. This is an opportunity for an experienced construction professional who enjoys being hands-on, understands how to run a busy site and has the confidence to coordinate trades, subcontractors and suppliers while keeping a project moving. The Role Take ownership of day-to-day site management and project delivery Manage commercial, industrial and agricultural construction projects Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site activities Manage construction programmes, sequencing and daily priorities Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to specification Read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans and project specifications Coordinate materials, deliveries, inspections and site logistics Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained Identify and resolve construction issues and coordinate practical solutions Maintain clear communication with Project Managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers Maintain accurate site records, documentation and health and safety requirements Lead the site team and create a professional, productive working environment About You Proven experience as a Site Manager in commercial, industrial or agricultural construction is essential Strong track record managing projects from commencement through to completion Confident coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors Strong understanding of commercial construction methodology and sequencing Able to interpret plans, specifications and technical documentation Organised, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities Strong problem-solving ability and the confidence to make decisions on site Excellent communication and relationship-management skills High standards of workmanship, quality and health and safety Comfortable working in a practical, team-focused construction environment Relevant construction qualifications are advantageous A full NZ driver's licence is required What’s On Offer Full-time, permanent position based in Invercargill Long-term opportunity with an established New Zealand construction business Variety of commercial, industrial and agricultural projects Strong pipeline of work throughout Southland Competitive remuneration based on experience Opportunity to work with an experienced construction team A stable business with a strong reputation and long history in the industry Genuine opportunity to build a long-term career within the organisation #J-18808-Ljbffr
