Spy Valley Wine – Marlborough District, South Island Winemaker (maternity cover)(Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars ) Full Time Spy Valley Wine Marlborough, Marlborough Your Mission We are looking for an experienced Winemaker to lead our winery team for a fixed term 15 month maternity cover. They will be responsible for the production of award winning, quality wines that meet the requirements of Spy Valley Wine’s consumers. Key Roles: Develop and plan all aspects of winemaking activities Manage the winemaking process from cellar to bottle ready. Ensure all winery aspects meet WSMP, SWNZ QC, compliance, food safety, and market eligibility requirements Ensure support for Lab, Cellar operations and bottling, as required Liaise with clients to ensure the requirements for their wine are met Assist in the maintenance and continual improvement of Health & Safety (H&S) standards for the company Represent the winery in industry events, tastings, competitions and media engagements and trips as required, including winery tours and tastings to enhance brand visibility and reputation Lead the winemaking team during vintage and throughout the year Providing regular updates and reports to the senior leadership team What we are looking for from you: At least 3 years experience in a Winemaker role Experience with bottling would be an advantage Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Previous experience leading staff Happy to be involved hands on in the cellar and bottling line Enjoy engaging with wine media and hosting market partners Preferred Start date Monday 31st August 2026 #J-18808-Ljbffr
