About the Role This role leads the North Island sales function at an exciting stage of the business's journey. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will lead a regionalised team across four North Island regions and operate as a true player-manager - still active in the market with senior clients and partners while setting direction, coaching the team, and driving commercial outcomes across the region. This is a builder's role for someone who thrives on developing others, knows how to drive adoption of a complex product, and wants to make a real mark on how an entire region goes to market. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of approximately 8 across Auckland & Northland, Waikato & Bay of Plenty, Central, and Wellington - including regional client relationship managers and flexible BDM resource deployed where the growth opportunity is greatest Own the North Island P&L and take accountability for revenue growth across both direct (business) and channel (accounting firm) customer segments Drive a consultative, platform-led sales approach - coaching the team on how to match product capability to customer need and improve conversion across a complex product set Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior clients, partners, and professional bodies across the region - representing the business at the highest level locally Act as the escalation point for pricing and discount decisions that exceed the regional team's delegated authority Drive pipeline discipline: accurate forecasting, deal qualification, and activity conversion tracked through HubSpot Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Service Hub, and Finance to deliver joined-up client outcomes and remove friction in the sales process Use customer, competitor, and portfolio insights to continuously refine territory priorities, sales approach, and team composition Key Attributes Needed 10+ years of sales experience, including leadership of multi-person teams with P&L accountability Background in financial services or fintech strongly preferred - you will need to get across complex financial concepts quickly Experience selling platform or SaaS products alongside financial products, with the ability to simplify complexity for a professional services audience Strong coaching and people development skills - this team is capable and ready to be stretched Why Apply This is a right-hand role to a respected CCO with real influence over the national commercial direction. You will inherit a capable team across a market with significant headroom, backed by a business that has deliberately chosen to hire externally because it wants to bring in a different level of sales thinking. If you are a sales leader who builds, coaches, and drives real commercial outcomes, we would love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
