About the role We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Paediatric Neurologist to join our comprehensive, multidisciplinary team on a permanent, 0.8 FTE basis. In this role, you will deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management for infants, children, and adolescents presenting with complex neurological conditions. Operating within both inpatient and outpatient settings, you will collaborate with a passionate tertiary team of nurses, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists and other allied health staff to provide exemplary, family-centered care. About the Team/Service/ Location Our specialty provides services for Auckland, regional and national districts. The service and our inpatient care are based at Starship Childrens Hospital. There are outpatient clinics in Starship Hospital and at regional centres. Starship is part of Auckland City Hospital, the largest hospital in New Zealand and is based in the heart of Auckland City. The city is set in a pristine marine-based environment with a temperate climate and has a population of 1.7 million. About you To be successful you will have: Registration or eligibility for registration with Medical Council of New Zealand Experience in paediatrics and paediatric neurology Neurophysiology training to the degree of being able to independently read and report routine and prolonged VEEG Broad experience in multiple centres of paediatric neurology (desired) Research experience in paediatric neurology (desired) For all aspects of this role and experience/knowledge required please see the position description .
