We specialise in Family Law, Property, Trusts and Estates, and we are seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to join our busy and supportive Family Law team. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be an integral part of the team, providing essential support to our lawyers while helping clients navigate some of life's most significant and often challenging situations. We specialise in Family Law, Property, Trusts and Estates, and we are seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to join our busy and supportive Family Law team. You will be an integral part of the team, providing essential support to our lawyers while helping clients navigate some of life's most significant and often challenging situations. About the Role As the key support person for our Family Law team, you will be involved in all aspects of file management and client care, including: Being the first point of contact for clients, courts and other professionals Managing diaries, appointments and court schedules Preparing correspondence, legal documents and court filing materials Maintaining electronic and physical client files Assisting with Legal Aid and Family Legal Advice Service (FLAS) matters Preparing court bundles and electronic casebooks Liaising with the Family Court and other legal professionals Supporting lawyers with urgent applications and time-sensitive matters Helping ensure compliance with AML and firm procedures Contributing to process improvements and efficient file management About You We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and genuinely enjoys supporting both clients and colleagues. You will ideally have: Previous experience in a legal office, professional services environment, or administrative support role Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Confidence using Microsoft Office and other technology systems A professional and empathetic manner when dealing with clients The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage sensitive situations appropriately A positive "can-do" attitude and willingness to learn Experience in family law, legal aid administration, or legal executive support would be advantageous but is not essential.
