Job Description
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Grada Recruitment – Christchurch, South Island Our client is an established New Zealand design and fit-out business, delivering commercial projects the length of both islands. They handle the whole process end to end, from concept and design through to documentation, build and handover. The work spans commercial workplace, retail and hospitality, and the finish and service is where they've built their name. They're small and genuinely close knit, and they're upfront that they're not for everyone. The pace is real and the standards are high. Average tenure sits north of seven years, and that tells you more about the place than any culture statement could. They're now looking for a Senior Project Delivery Manager to join the team as the workload continues to build. About the role This is a senior delivery position, a step up from a standard project management role. You will manage your own projects from pre-construction through to handover, and hold visibility across the wider construction programme at the same time. Alongside delivery you will contribute at a business level through resource planning, contractor and supplier network development, commercial input and client retention. It is a delivery role with a commercial seat at the table. You will have real influence over how delivery runs, with the leadership team staying close to it rather than handing it over and disappearing. Day to day that looks like budget estimates during early design, tender packages and pricing, value engineering, end to end programmes, contractor performance, cost control and variation management, and clean closeout. Based in Christchurch or Auckland with national travel as projects require. You likely have: 5+ years delivering commercial fit-out or interiors, either main contractor side or with a design and build outfit Experience running jobs end to end, from documentation through to handover, and the comfort that comes with owning that whole span The ability to work across both islands, since the projects don't all sit in one city A feel for finish quality, and the standards to match a team that has built its name on it Confidence managing your own programme, budget and subbies without needing someone checking in A relevant trade or tertiary background, though what you have delivered on site matters more About the company Our client is an established New Zealand design and fit-out business, delivering commercial projects the length of both islands.
