Job Description
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Optic Digital - Wellington Central, North Island You’re good at what you do. And because of that you’ve got plenty of choices about who you work for and what you do. Rather than filling the next page with corporate platitudes and fluff, we’ll cut to the chase... What's on offer? Join a newly expanding regulatory function supporting the Early Childhood Education (ECE) sector across Aotearoa New Zealand. We’re looking for individuals with ECE experience who can combine exceptional customer service with their strong ECE regulatory knowledge. You’ll be a key first point of contact for ECE providers, whānau and sector stakeholders, providing advice, guidance and support across licensing, complaints, incidents, compliance and other regulatory matters. This is an opportunity to use your customer service and regulatory experience in a meaningful public-sector environment, helping ensure ECE services operate safely, fairly and in line with regulatory requirements. You’ll be working in a role where good judgement, empathy and sound decision‑making are just as important as delivering an excellent customer experience. Who's the Client? Our client is a public‑sector organisation responsible for supporting quality, accountability and regulatory oversight across New Zealand’s education sector. They are currently establishing and expanding their regulatory capability within ECE, creating an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to work that has a direct impact on children, whānau, providers and the wider education sector. What you'll bring ECE licensing, certification or regulatory processes Regulatory compliance, investigations, complaints, incidents or enforcement Government regulation, public‑sector operations or education‑sector policy Quality assurance, auditing, inspection, review or evaluation Interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, standards or policy Contact centre, service centre, case management or customer advisory environments involving complex enquiries Direct experience working with ECE services, centres, kindergartens, home‑based providers or early learning organisations Provides calm, empathetic and professional support, even in challenging situations Has an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to public‑sector work #J-18808-Ljbffr
