Ecommerce Specialist
At Mons Royale, we believe action and adventure sports can be a force for good but most of the gear made for these sports is trashing the planet. That's why we're on a mission to shift riders from synthetics to natural fibres designing high-performance merino apparel that doesn't mess up the places we love to play.
We're looking for an eCommerce Specialist to join the mission and team in Wanaka. In this role, you'll own the day-to-day operation of the Mons Royale websites across New Zealand, Australia, Europe, USA and Canada.
While the wider team drives traffic and builds campaigns, you keep the sites running smoothly - fast, accurate, on-brand and easy to shop from.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys running websites, delivering range launches and promotions, maintaining strong brand standards, onsite merchandising, and using testing and reporting to inform ongoing improvements.
What you'll do
- Monitor and maintain day-to-day site operation across all regional sites, resolving issues and fixing bugs
- Own product and range launches, ensuring new products and collections go live accurately and on time
- Maintain onsite merchandising, including collection layout, product sort order, featured items and cross-sell placement
- Manage sale preparation and asset updates across all regions and the Pro Deal channel
- Maintain consistent brand and quality standards across imagery, copy, layout and overall site presentation
- Manage the Shopify and app integration stack, including Pro Deal, translations and virtual merchandising apps, and act as the key point of contact with app vendors and other external vendors
- Monitor site speed, Core Web Vitals and mobile experience, working with creative and development teams to resolve performance issues
- Use AI tools in day-to-day work and keep across ecommerce trends and technology changes
- Analyse site performance using GA4, Power BI and Shopify, and use A/B testing or user testing to evaluate site changes
- Coordinate with merchandising, marketing and creative teams so site changes, launches and promotions align with campaign plans and brand guidelines
- Prepare and present reports on site performance and operations to stakeholders
Requirements
What you'll bring
- A genuine connection to what we stand for, pushing boundaries to drive change in an industry dominated by plastics.
- Hands-on ecommerce, online merchandising, digital marketing or website management experience, with a track record of using the site to improve commercial results.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines across different regions
- A strong problem solver who can identify issues, work through solutions, and follow things through to completion
- Comfortable working with data and performance metrics to identify opportunities and support decision making
- Strong excel skills, confident using digital platforms and CMS tools, with experience managing website content and online customer experiences
- Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy, quality and brand presentation
- Commercially aware and interested in how ecommerce performance contributes to broader business goals
- Curious about technology, AI tools and emerging ecommerce trends
- Comfortable working across multiple international markets and balancing regional requirements with a consistent global brand experience
- Collaborative and able to work effectively with marketing, merchandising, creative, development and external partners
- A clear communicator who can present insights, recommendations and updates to a range of stakeholders.
