About the Role
We're looking for a passionate, engaging Cellar Door Supervisor to join our dynamic team.
This is a hands-on, guest-facing role where you'll bring our wines to life - guiding visitors through tastings, sharing our story, and turning every guest into an Amisfield ambassador. You'll also provide day-to-day supervision and support to the Cellar Door team, helping to ensure consistently high standards of service, sales and guest experience.
You'll receive wine and sales training, and work with the rest of the team to achieve cellar door targets. You'll also gain insight into our winemaking, viticulture, and restaurant operations - an incredible opportunity to grow your knowledge and career in the wine industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and host guests, delivering exceptional and engaging wine tasting experiences.
- Lead the Amisfield Cellar Door Experience, Masterclasses and Private Bespoke Tastings.
- Share your passion and knowledge of Amisfield wines, our story and Central Otago with customers.
- Drive wine sales, grow Wine Club membership and build strong, lasting customer relationships.
- Provide day-to-day supervision and support to the Cellar Door team, helping to maintain high standards of service, presentation and sales performance.
- Manage bookings, customer enquiries and follow-up communications to create a seamless guest experience.
- Support direct-to-consumer wine sales, including order processing, customer follow-up and dispatch.

Maintain a beautifully presented Cellar Door while overseeing stock, daily sales and operational requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a minimum of 12 months relevant experience in hospitality, retail, wine and sales, with previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Has a genuine love of wine and a thirst to learn more.
- Enjoys engaging with people from all over the world and creating memorable experiences.
- Is confident and compelling when it comes to selling our wine.
- Is confident leading and supporting a team, with the ability to set a positive example and maintain high standards.
- Is a proactive and positive team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Passionate about and committed to the hospitality industry.

(Bonus!) Have a WSET qualification, Duty Manager's Certificate, or CRM experience.

Successful candidates will be offered competitive remuneration + the opportunity to earn commission, great working hours and the opportunity to progress in their career. The role is full-time permanent, with a minimum of 30 hours guaranteed per week, with flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
