Creative Content Producer | Ready to Make Work That People Notice?

Full-time | On-site in Hamilton, New Zealand
$90,000-$115,000 per annum

Do you want the freedom to turn ambitious ideas into content people actually pay attention to?

Do you want real ownership, access to decision-makers and the chance to put your fingerprints all over the work?

Are you ready to join a fast-growing company where creativity is backed, standards are high and good ideas don't get stuck in meetings?

This could be your next big move.

Not Another Producer Role

This isn't another producer role that revolves around call sheets and turnaround times.

At Profitable Tradie, our content isn't decoration. It's how a plumbing business owner in Ohio discovers he's been underpricing for eleven years.

The stories we film could be the most useful thing that happens to some of these people all year and most of them have never been told properly.

We need someone who can make those stories land.

And make sure they actually get out the door.

Who We Are

Profitable Tradie is a fast-growing business consulting company working with plumbing, electrical and similar trade business owners across New Zealand, Australia and North America.

We help our clients build more profitable, better-run businesses so they can make more money, build stronger teams and get their lives back.

Our clients are cranking. Demand is growing. And we have big plans to become the most recognised and trusted name in our industry worldwide.

To do that, our content needs to be world-class.

That's where you come in.

The Purpose of Your Role

We're looking for a hands-on Creative Producer who can turn rough ideas into content that hits.

Someone who can sit across from a trade business owner who nearly lost everything and get the real version out of him and not the version he tells at barbecues.

Someone who can look at a rough idea and know within ten seconds whether it holds.

Someone who can run the day so the footage comes back right the first time and then keep the entire pipeline moving so nothing sits waiting on them.

You'll own the journey from rough concept to finished production: sharpening ideas, preparing shoots, coordinating every moving part, directing talent and making sure the final content lands.

You won't be stuck on the sidelines organising calendars and chasing props. You'll have a genuine voice in the creative process and the freedom to make the work better.

We create fast-moving, social-first content across long-form, short-form, organic and paid media. This isn't traditional film production, and it definitely isn't a slow corporate content team.

You'll report to our Creative Director and work closely with our content team, Founder and COO.

What You'll Get Your Hands On

To create world-class content, you'll be:

  • Turning rough ideas and scripts into tight, shoot-ready plans

  • Finding the real story-not settling for the polished first answer

  • Developing concepts that make trade business owners stop and pay attention

  • Pressure-testing ideas before time and money reach the set

  • Organising talent, locations, props, equipment and timings

  • Running shoot days with confidence, clarity and control

  • Directing talent to get strong, natural performances

  • Making sure the footage comes back right the first time

  • Keeping paid, organic, long-form and short-form content moving

  • Solving production problems before they become expensive ones

  • Owning clean handovers into post-production

  • Protecting the quality of the work from the first idea to the final cut

  • Bringing your own creative ideas to the table

You'll spend a meaningful part of your week on set and not buried behind a laptop writing production documents nobody reads.

What You'll Get Working With Us

  • Real creative ownership: so you can shape the work, not simply execute a checklist

  • Direct access to decision-makers: so good ideas can move quickly

  • A growing company with ambitious plans: giving you room to grow as the business grows

  • Work with a genuine purpose: creating content that can change businesses, families and lives

  • Variety across paid and organic content: so the work stays challenging and interesting

  • The freedom to respectfully challenge ideas-because it's not about whose idea it is; it's about what works

  • A team of driven people who get things done: so you won't be carrying passengers

  • Plenty of learning, laughs and good banter: because high standards don't require corporate stiffness

What You'll Need to Succeed

If you believe the best work comes from judgement and preparation not volume and templates and you can hold a schedule as well as a story, keep reading.

You'll have experience producing content from concept through to completion and understand what it takes to make a shoot run properly.

You'll also:

  • Know how to recognise and shape a strong story

  • Ask questions that get past the rehearsed answer

  • Think two or three steps ahead

  • Give clear direction and keep people focused

  • Stay calm when the plan changes

  • Spot production problems early and solve them quickly

  • Challenge weak ideas without bringing ego into the room

  • Keep the details tight while maintaining momentum

  • Take full ownership and finish what you start

Experience in fast-turnaround social, creator-led or direct-response content would be a big advantage.

We care less about your job title or where you studied and more about your judgement, creative instincts and proof that you can make great work happen.

The most important box you'll tick?

You have fire in your belly, pride in your work and the drive to help us create the best content in our market.

If you need your hand held, avoid difficult conversations or prefer waiting for somebody else to make the call, this probably isn't your role.

A Quick Note About Location

This is a full-time, on-site role in Hamilton.

You'll be coordinating shoots, talent, props, locations and creative handovers in real time. We need you close to the action and fully part of the team.
