Compliance Services Lead - Whenuapai

Citycare Property is proud to be partnering with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) to deliver Facilities Management Services across military camps and bases throughout Aotearoa.

We're looking for a Building Compliance Lead to join our team at Whenuapai RNZAF Base. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring buildings, systems and contractors remain compliant with statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements.

Working closely with NZDF stakeholders, contractors and operational teams, you'll lead Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) delivery, compliance audits, inspections, reporting and contractor governance across a complex and diverse facilities portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a facilities management, property, building services, engineering, construction, maintenance planning or trade background who enjoys taking ownership and driving compliance outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing | Nga Kawenga Takohanga
  • Lead Building Compliance and BWOF delivery across Whenuapai RNZAF Base.
  • Manage inspections, certifications, audits and statutory compliance programmes.
  • Coordinate contractors, IQPs and service providers to achieve compliance outcomes.
  • Investigate non-conformances, manage corrective actions and maintain audit-ready records.
  • Provide compliance reporting, governance and advice to NZDF and operational stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For | A Matou e Rapu Ana
  • Experience in building compliance, facilities management, property, engineering or construction.
  • Knowledge of BWOF, statutory inspections, audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing contractors, compliance programmes and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong reporting, documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a complex operational environment and drive compliance outcomes.
