HEAD OF FINANCE - HUFFER

Our Head of Finance role takes ownership of the financial engine room at HUFFER. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a senior role requiring strategic thinking mixed with hands-on accounting. Responsible for ensuring prudent financial controls, disciplined cashflow management and strong financial visibility across the business this is a key role in our Management team.

We’re looking for someone with the experience and confidence to bring rigour, accountability and commercial discipline to the role, while understanding the pace and personality of a much loved and growing New Zealand brand! You will have the experience to provide the rigour and the commercial nous to ensure financial success through decision making and recommendations to drive the brand forward.

• Oversight of cashflow, forecasting, financial reporting, controls and risk

• Broader business management, working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to protect the fundamentals while supporting the growth of the business

• Coaching a dedicated team of an Accountant and Accounts Manager and managing external parties including PwC, Bank relationship and external leasing.

• Building capability while maintaining high standards of accuracy, accountability and financial discipline
\n
• Turn the numbers into sound commercial decisions

• CA qualified and a background in Audit
\n
• Technically strong and commercially savvy with risk and controls at the forefront of your work
\n
• Experience and confidence to bring rigour, accountability and commercial discipline to the role

• Senior influence
\n
• Interest in AI improvements to workflow
\n

This is an in-house role, because we believe strong financial leadership needs to be close to the business. However, for the right person, it can absolutely be completed on a part-time basis. 3-4 days a week in house.

We’re also open to flexibility around school holidays.
