Site Manager (Fixed Term Contract)
Job Description
BLACK Interiors is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our team on a fixed-term contract for approximatley 4-6 months.
\nThis is a key site-based role responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination, safety, quality, and delivery of interior fitout construction projects. You will work closely with our Project Managers, subcontractors, clients, building management teams, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, professionally, and to a high standard.
\nAs Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the construction site in line with BLACK’s internal systems, client requirements, building owner requirements, statutory obligations, and project-specific documentation.
\nA major part of this role is maintaining a safe, clean, professional, and well-coordinated site at all times. You will play a key role in upholding BLACK’s health and safety standards and ensuring all trades and subcontractors are working in accordance with site requirements.
Key responsibilities include:\nManaging the construction site, including coordination of trades, subcontractors, deliveries, access, and site logistics
\nReading and understanding construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
\nMaintaining BLACK’s health and safety requirements, systems, and statutory obligations
\nCompleting inductions, daily pre-starts, toolbox talks, site checklists, and weekly safety reporting
\nAssisting with the preparation and implementation of Site Specific Safety Management Plans
\nMonitoring the construction programme and reporting progress to the Project Manager
\nCoordinating material deliveries, reviewing delivery dockets, and assisting with material ordering
\nIdentifying and escalating construction issues to the Project Manager
\nAttending PCG, subcontractor, and site meetings as required
\nEnsuring the site is kept clean, tidy, safe, and professional at all times
\nManaging quality control, defect rectification, and site compliance
\nBuilding and maintaining positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and building management
\nIssuing site instructions where required
\nSupporting environmental management, including waste, noise, dust, and general site impacts
\nAdministering first aid if required
\nCommunicating clearly, professionally, and efficiently at all times
About you\nThe ideal candidate will have:
\nPrevious experience in a Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or similar construction role
\nStrong knowledge of construction site operations, ideally within commercial interiors or fitout
\nAbility to read and understand construction drawings and project documentation
\nStrong health and safety awareness and a commitment to zero harm
\nGood coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills
\nConfidence managing subcontractors and site activity
\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal
\nA tidy, professional, and reliable approach
\nAbility to work collaboratively with Project Managers and the wider team
\nCompetence using construction systems and software such as Procore, Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, email, and related tools
What success looks like\nSuccess in this role will include projects being delivered on time, safely, and in line with the construction programme. You will maintain strong site standards, support quality outcomes, manage risks early, and communicate clearly with the project team and wider stakeholders.
\nYou will also play an important role in representing BLACK on site, maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, building owners, suppliers, and subcontractors.
