Associate/Senior Associate

Location: Rotorua or Tauranga

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Property Associate or Senior Associate to join our market-leading Property team, working across our Bay of Plenty offices in Rotorua and Tauranga.

In this role, you'll work with a diverse client base, including property developers, investors, local governmentand private clients, providing advice ona wide range of property transactions,trusts, asset protectionandestate planning. You'll manage your own files and clients, report to partners, and, depending on your experience, take on supervision and delegation responsibilities. This is a mid-to-senior level position with strong progression prospects for the right person.

What You'll Bring

• At least4 years' PQEin property and private client law.
• Experience managing a range of property transactions and client relationships.
• Expertise across conveyancing, trusts, estate planning, and asset protection.
• Strong drafting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently with sound commercial judgment.
• Experience mentoring junior lawyers or supporting team development is a plus.
• Local government or Maori trust experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  

Our Property Team (including Private Client) works incredibly well together and enjoys collaborating with other teams in the firm across all our offices.
